Jon McClain - Chardon Office

Jon McClain began a new career as a staff accountant with NMS in June 2022. He graduated Summa Cum Laude in May 2021 with a Bachelor's degrees in Accounting and Forensic Accounting from Franklin University. Jon also has a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.

Prior to starting his coursework in accounting, Jon was a trooper with the Pennsylvania State Police. He retired in October 2016 after 25 years’ service and the rank of Master Trooper. He became interested in accounting as a result of investigating an embezzlement case involving the theft of $380,000 over a number of years. He successfully investigated the incident and prosecuted the secretary who used accounting software to hide the thefts.

Jon is interested in all aspects of accounting and has many interests outside of work. He resides in Chardon with his teenage son.
